What is a Front-End Development?

Front-end development runs everything that visually sees in their browser or application. Front-end developers have the responsibility of the main theme of the web site and applications are. It mainly covers the image of the website or application in the view of the client. Front-end developers are involved in designing and analyzing code as well as debugging applications so that we can get endless user experience. Front-end mainly focus on these three things those are: visual layout, user interface, and user experience. They create attractive icons, images, links, and the main themes that clients need to function quickly to carry particular tasks.Front-end web development, also known as client-side development is the practice of producing HTML, CSS and JavaScript for a website or Web Application so that a user can see and interact with them directly. The challenge associated with front end development is that the tools and techniques used to create the front end of a website change constantly and so the developer needs to constantly be aware of how the field is developing. In front-end development, your management is to develop a catchy look for the client so that it immediately gets the interest of the user. Tools and techniques used to develop front-end website or application changes continuously. Front-end development means developing features, which are acquired by a client through the front-end of a website. To many people, client-side development might be perceived as 'making things pretty' and, while it is a valid comment since we do make things look good, as good-looking things sell better, there are many other technologies that fall within this field that might be usually overlooked.“A front-end dev is responsible for the interior design of a house that’s been built by a back-end dev.”

User Interface Design

User Interface (UI) Design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use to facilitate those actions. UI brings together concepts from interaction design, visual design, and information architecture.User interface design or UI design generally refers to the visual layout of the elements that a user might interact with a website or technological product. User interface designs must not only be attractive to potential users but must also be functional and created with users in mind.

What is UI Design?

User Interface Design is the discipline of designing software interfaces for devices, ideally with a focus on maximizing efficiency, responsiveness and aesthetics to foster good user experience.UI design is typically employed for products or services that require interaction for the user to get what they need from the experience. The interface should allow a user to perform any required tasks to complete the function of the product or service. An interface is a point of interaction between the user and the hardware and/or software they are using. UI design is the skill employed to visualize the interface used to complete the task it is designed for. Good UI design facilitates making the completion of tasks as frictionless as possible and increasing usability.A UI Designer is someone who creates the user interface based on a functional requirement and planned user experience using design standards and aesthetics to craft a certain experience.UI Design can be done with pens and pencils, computer visualization software, or built directly in code or materials. The end results are an interface or a simulation of one, that can be used to test, iterate and release a product or service.

Why is User Interface Design Important For Usability?

User interface design can dramatically affect the usability and user experience of an application. If a user interfaces design is too complex or not adapted to targeted users, the user may not be able to find the information or service they are looking for. In website design, this can affect conversion rates. The layout of a user interface design should also be clearly set out for users so that elements can be found in a logical position by the user.

How to Optimize User Interface Design?

User interface designs should be optimized so that the user can operate an application as quickly and easily as possible. Many experts believe that UI design should be simple and intuitive, often using metaphors from non-computer systems. With a more intuitive user interface design, users will be able to navigate around a website easily, finding the product or service they want quickly. One way to check the intuitiveness of a user interface design is through usability testing. The feedback from usability testing can then be used to optimize the user interface design of a prototype or final product.

Types of User Interfaces

  • Graphical user interface (GUI)
  • Command-line interface (CLI)
  • Menu-driven user interface
  • Touch user interface
  • Voice user interface (VUI)
  • Form-based user interface
  • Natural language user interface

Examples of User Interfaces

Some examples of user interfaces include:
  • computer mouse
  • remote control
  • virtual reality
  • ATMs
  • speedometer
  • the old iPod click wheel
Websites such as Airbnb, Dropbox and Virgin America display strong user interface design. Sites like these have created pleasant, easily operable, user-centred designs (UCD) that focus on the user and their needs.

Benefits of UI Design

  • Acquisition of New Customers
  • Increased Customer Engagement And Retention Lower Development Costs
  • Lower Customer Support Costs
  • Increased Productivity
  • Clarify your vision
  • Strike the right balance
  • Customer confidence
  • Navigation is a breeze
  • Everything will be exactly where it should be
  • Interaction acknowledgement
  • Optimal on-screen experience
  • Capitalize on a clear competitive advantage
  • Retain that custom
  • Reduced support costs
  • Development times are impressive
  • Design for a variety of users
  • Simplify everything
In conclusion, UI design is fruitful when persons are using what you've designed. Like an inspiring looking chair that is uncomfortable to sit on, the design has abortive when people choose not to use it. Therefore, interface design can be as much about producing a situation for use as it is about creating an artifact worth using. It is not enough for an interface to satisfy the ego of its designer, or a dream visualized by a marketing team: an interface must be used. Start User Interface Project

User Experience Design

User experience (UX) focuses on having a deep understanding of users, what they need, what they value, their abilities, and also their limitations. It also takes into account the business goals and objectives of the group managing the project. UX best practices promote improving the quality of the user’s interaction with and perceptions of your product and any related services.User experience design is a concept that has many dimensions, and it includes a bunch of different disciplines such as interaction design, information architecture, visual design, usability, and human-computer interaction. The goal of UX design in business is to “improve customer satisfaction and loyalty through the utility, ease of use, and pleasure provided in the interaction with a product.”

What is User Experience Design?

How would you describe UX design to someone who was learning about it for the first time? User Experience design is the process used to determine what the experience will be like when a user interacts with your product. The first requirement for an exemplary user experience is to meet the exact needs of the customer, without fuss or bother. Next comes, simplicity and elegance that produce products that are a joy to own, a joy to use. True user experience goes far beyond giving customers what they say they want, or providing checklist features. In order to achieve high-quality user experience in a company's offerings there must be a seamless merging of the services of multiple disciplines, including engineering, marketing, graphical and industrial design, and interface design.UX is not new. In fact, the term has been around since the early nineties, coined by Donald Norman when he worked for Apple as a cognitive scientist. Don Norman was interested in all aspects of a user’s experience with a product or service, including industrial design, graphics, the interface, and physical interaction. To encompass all of the different elements that determine how a user feels while interacting with a product, he came up with the term “user experience”.

Why User Experience Matters?

“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.” — Steve Jobs.Great user experience design not only highlights and promotes your product; it has become a key part of building and growing customer confidence. A great product or compelling content without an appealing user experience may affect the ability of an organization to achieve its business goals.User experience is important because it tries to fulfil the user’s needs. It aims to provide positive experiences that keep a user loyal to the product or brand. Additionally, a meaningful user experience allows you to define customer journeys on your product that are most conducive to business success.User experience or UX is a simple oversight that can cost your enterprise big bucks. With poor UX, you can easily miss the opportunity to nurture prospects, build a loyal audience and convert users into paying customers. Yet UX is the foundation of your site and essential for success for your app. Here's why:
  • It'll help you Differentiate Your Brand
  • Great UX Fosters User Retention
  • It's Cost-Effective
  • It Keeps Your Audience on Your Site (and App) Longer
  • It'll Help Your Conversion Rates

Methods of the UX Design Process

  • User Personas
  • User interviews
  • Job Stories
  • Functionality map
  • Wireframes
  • Prototyping
  • Usability testing

Benefits of User Experience Design

  • Increased Engagements
  • Increased Adoption
  • Enhanced Customer Satisfaction
  • Differentiation
  • Client Approvals
  • Developer Direction
An amazing user experience can only be provided by following an iterative Design process. All major stakeholders in your company contribute in the process by performing their tasks and duties. This is the only way you can retain your existing users and attract the new ones in this competitive world. Start User Experience Project

Print Ready Design

Print design is a conception which is normally confused with printing – clients commonly suppose these two services to be completed with the same service provider (usually a design studio). However, this is not the case. You have perhaps previously received a call from a possible customer requesting if you design and print, say, billboards or brochures. If you are a graphic design studio or a designer-oriented only towards the design process and virtual (digital) products and want to learn more about print design and how to deal with clients who want something you cannot provide them with – keep reading.

What is print design?

As it was already mentioned, what many people mistakenly think is that graphic design agencies also do the printing. Even though having this service in your line is good, many agencies do not do it and just restrict to design.Print designs appear on printed media like business cards, billboards or brochures rather than digital spaces like websites. Just like digital designs, the goal of print design is to use visual graphics to communicate a specific message to viewers. So, basically, print design is a graphic design process. Its end-product is a design in a digital form (.psd, .tif, .indd etc.), which then gets printed onto a material, such as paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, ceramics, etc. Print design, therefore, does not include the process of printing, i.e. producing hard copies of documents and other designs. Print design is done for various purposes, but the main two are marketing and brand awareness.

Types of print design:

Print design is all around us, often in ways, we take for granted. Traditional business marketing still relies on print media to spread awareness of their brand. The print design also takes centre stage in industries like publishing, where a well-designed cover can make a huge difference in book sales.

Machine Learning

Machine Learning is indubitably one of the utmost persuasive and prevailing technologies in today’s world. Machine Learning is the knowledge of attaining computers to acquire and act identical to creatures do and develop their knowledge overtime in a self-directed manner, by serving those statistics and information in the form of observations and real-world interactions.Machine learning is a large field of study that overlaps with and inherits ideas from many related fields such as artificial intelligence. The focus of the field is learning, that is, acquiring skills or knowledge from experience. Most commonly, this means synthesizing useful concepts from historical data.As such, there are many different types of learning that you may encounter as a practitioner in the field of machine learning: from whole fields of study to specific techniques.

What are Machine Learning And Its Services?

Machine learning is an application of artificial intelligence (AI) that provides systems with the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning focuses on the development of computer programs that can access data and use it to learn for themselves. The process of learning begins with observations or data, such as examples, direct experience, or instruction, in order to look for patterns in data and make better decisions in the future based on the examples that we provide. The primary aim is to allow the computers to learn automatically without human intervention or assistance and adjust actions accordingly. In order to permit the software to autonomously produce results, the preceding act of people is essential. For example, the essential algorithms and data requisite are fed into the systems in advance and the corresponding analysis guidelines for the acknowledgement of outlines in the statistics stock must be defined. Once these two steps have been completed, the system can perform the following tasks by Machine Learning:
  • Finding, extracting and summarizing relevant data
  • Making predictions based on the analysis data
  • Calculating probabilities for specific results
  • Adapting to certain developments autonomously
  • Optimizing processes based on recognized patterns

Types of Machine Learning

Basically, algorithms play an important role in Machine Learning: On the one hand, they are responsible for recognizing patterns and on the other hand, they can generate solutions. Algorithms can be divided into different categories:

Supervised learning

In the course of monitored learning, example models are defined in advance. In order to ensure adequate allocation of the information to the respective model groups of the algorithms, these then have to be specified. In other words, the system learns on the basis of given input and output pairs. In the course of monitored learning, a programmer, who acts as a kind of teacher, provides the appropriate values for a particular input. The aim is to train the system in the context of successive calculations with different inputs and outputs and to establish connections.

Unsupervised learning

In unsupervised learning, artificial intelligence learns without predefined target values and without rewards. It is mainly used for learning segmentation (clustering). The machine tries to structure and sort the data entered according to certain characteristics. For example, a machine could (very simply) learn that coins of different colours can be sorted according to the characteristic "colour" in order to structure them.

Partially supervised learning

Partially supervised learning is a combination of supervised and unsupervised learning.

Encouraging learning

Reinforcing learning - just like Skinner's classic conditioning - is based on rewards and punishments. The algorithm is taught by a positive or negative interaction in which reaction to a certain situation should take place.

Active learning

Within the framework of active learning, an algorithm is given the opportunity to query results for specific input data on the basis of pre-defined questions that are considered significant. Usually, the algorithm itself selects questions with high relevance. In general, the data basis can be either offline or online, depending on the corresponding system. In addition, it can be available only once or repeatedly for Machine Learning. Another distinguishing feature is the either staggered development of the input and output pairs or their simultaneous presence. On the basis of this aspect, a distinction is made between so-called sequential learning and so-called batch learning.

Benefits of Machine Learning

  • Simplifies Product Marketing and Assists in Accurate Sales Forecasts
  • Massive Data Consumption from Unlimited Sources
  • Rapid Analysis Prediction and Processing
  • Interpret Past Customer Behaviours
  • Facilitates Accurate Medical Predictions and Diagnoses
  • Simplifies Time-Intensive Documentation in Data Entry
  • Improves Precision of Financial Rules and Models
  • Easy Spam Detection
  • Increases the Efficiency of Predictive Maintenance in the Manufacturing Industry
  • Better Customer Segmentation and Accurate Lifetime Value Prediction
  • Recommending the Right Product
Businesses can now mechanize analysis to understand business communications, which were conventionally done by humans, to take evidence-based actions. This empowers enterprises to deliver new, personalized or differentiated products and services. Therefore, considering Machine Learning as a strategic initiative can be a lucrative decision. Augmented and virtual reality has one big thing in common. They both have the remarkable ability to alter our perception of the world. Where they differ, is the perception of our presence. Virtual reality is able to transpose the user. In other words, bring us someplace else. Through closed visors or goggles, VR blocks out the room and puts our presence elsewhere. The terms "virtual reality" and "augmented reality" get thrown around a lot these days, thanks to the resurgence of VR headsets heralded by the Oculus Rift and the use of AR apps and games like Pokémon Go. They sound similar, and as the technologies develop, they bleed over into each other a bit. They're two very different concepts, though, with characteristics that readily distinguish them from one another.

What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment. Virtual Reality’s most immediately-recognizable component is the head-mounted display (HMD). Human beings are visual creatures, and display technology is often the single biggest difference between immersive Virtual Reality systems and traditional user interfaces. Major players in Virtual Reality include HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR (PSVR). Unlike traditional user interfaces, VR places the user inside an experience. Instead of viewing a screen in front of them, users are immersed and able to interact with 3D worlds. By simulating as many senses as possible, such as vision, hearing, touch, even smell, the computer is transformed into a gatekeeper to this artificial world. The only limits to near-real VR experiences are the availability of content and cheap computing power. Virtual reality simulation requires two main components: a source of content and a user device. Software and hardware, in other words. Currently, such systems include headsets, all-directions treadmills, special gloves, goggles. VR tools should be providing realistic, natural, high-quality images and interaction possibilities. For this, devices rely on measurements like:
  • Image resolution
  • Field of view
  • Refresh rate
  • Motion delay
  • Pixel persistence
  • Audio / Video synchronization
The main challenge of VR is tricking the human brain into perceiving digital content as real. That is not easy, and this “immersion” issue is what still holds virtual reality experiences back from being enjoyable. For example, the human visual field doesn't work as a video frame, and besides about 180 degrees of vision, we also have a peripheral vision.

Area of use

Virtual Reality has the potential to make new discoveries and have a positive impact on multiple areas of our everyday lives. When it's too dangerous or expensive to try something out in reality, VR is a great option to have. Think of training aircraft pilots to surgeons and areas like:
  • Education: training to acquire certain skills
  • Science: visualization of data and research
  • Medicine: monitoring, training, diagnosing
  • Industrial design and architecture
  • Gaming and entertainment: immersive and interactive experiences
If the cost of VR becomes lower, it can go more mainstream and there could be even more uses. VR can make the technology more humane, it can be both entertaining and scientific. Will it overcome its challenges and limitations in the future? We will see soon enough.

What is Augmented Reality?

Augmented reality is the technology that expands our physical world, adding layers of digital information onto it. Unlike Virtual Reality (VR), AR does not create the whole artificial environments to replace real with a virtual one. AR appears in a direct view of an existing environment and adds sounds, videos, and graphics to it.A view of the physical real-world environment with superimposed computer-generated images, thus changing the perception of reality, is the AR.The term itself was coined back in 1990, and one of the first commercial uses were in television and military. With the rise of the Internet and smartphones, AR rolled out its second wave and nowadays is mostly related to the interactive concept. 3D models are directly projected onto physical things or fused together in real-time, various augmented reality apps impact our habits, social life, and the entertainment industry.AR apps typically connect digital animation to a special ‘marker’, or with the help of GPS in phones pinpoint the location. Augmentation is happening in real-time and within the context of the environment, for example, overlaying scores to a live feed sport event. There are 4 types of augmented reality today:
  • Markerless AR
  • Marker-based AR
  • Projection-based AR
  • Superimposition-based AR

What’s the difference Between Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality?

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality are two sides of the same coin. You could think of Augmented Reality as VR with one foot in the real world: Augmented Reality simulates artificial objects in the real environment; Virtual Reality creates an artificial environment to inhabit. In Augmented Reality, the computer uses sensors and algorithms to determine the position and orientation of a camera. AR technology then renders the 3D graphics as they would appear from the viewpoint of the camera, superimposing the computer-generated images over a user’s view of the real world. In Virtual Reality, the computer uses similar sensors and math. However, rather than locating a real camera within a physical environment, the position of the user’s eyes are located within the simulated environment. If the user’s head turns, the graphics react accordingly. Rather than compositing virtual objects and a real scene, VR technology creates a convincing, interactive world for the user.
